Title: Brief Intervention Specialist 

Location: All 8 Schools 

Job Responsibilities

● Provide direct support to students including individual and group therapy, crisis support and brief intervention. 

● Conduct behavioral threat assessments, suicide assessments and psychosocial assessments as needed. 

● Collaborate with school staff to identify and offer support to at-risk students. 

● Participate in Alt, IEP or 504 meetings as deemed appropriate by the team. 

● Provide tiered mental health support to students as outlined in the Tennessee Framework for Student Supports (TN-FSS). 

Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Master’s in Clinical Mental Health, LPC, LMFT, LSSW, MSW, LMSW, LCSW… temp license acceptable 

Hours: 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Job Title: Interim Librarian

Location: East Hickman Intermediate School

Job Responsibilities: The librarian will be responsible for organizing and managing collections of journals, books, magazines, newspapers, electronic documents, and other data resources. The librarian will teach classes throughout the day that focus on how to check out books, develop a passion for reading, develop a better understanding of technology, and other topics to aid with standards covered in the general education classroom. The librarian will monitor our school-wide reading program. The librarian will teach small groups and help with small group tutoring during the school day. The librarian may need to complete other duties as assigned by the principal.

Job Title:  Health Science Teacher

Location of Position: HCHS
Job Responsibilities: Teach Health Science courses to prepare students for the healthcare field, serve as HOSA club sponsor, facilitate clinical work based learning placements, and other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or CTE Director.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Postsecondary certificate or diploma related to health related license, registration, or certification

  • TN teaching license with Health Science endorsement or willingness to seek training to receive endorsement 

  • State board of health issued license/certification (from TN or another state) or a license, registration, or certification verified by a national license accreditation agency

  • Must be willing to earn work based learning certification

Experience Required: 

  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience, completed within the last five (5) years; 

  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience, completed within the last ten (10) years;

  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience, completed within the last ten (10) years and a postsecondary technical school certificate related to health care license; 

  • One (1) year of relevant work experience, completed within the last ten (10) years and an Associate degree related to health care license; 

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree related to health care license

Job Responsibilities: A Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) instructor teaches and manages the JROTC program with their responsibilities include classroom instruction, planning activities, and promoting the program.

• Assesses students' communication skills (e.g., articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility, and developing recommendations for treatment.  • Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals (e.g., parents, teachers, physicians, administration, maintenance personnel, team members, other professionals, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines.  • Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students (e.g., testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.) for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans.  • Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements.  • Interprets medical reports within the scope of Speech/Language Pathologist’s experience and goals for the purpose of providing information and/or ensuring that treatment/intervention plans are appropriate.  • Maintains files and/or records (e.g., progress reports, activity logs, treatment plans, required documentation, quarterly reports, screening results, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of information as required for reference and/or compliance.  • Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g., training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information.  • Provides speech and language therapy to students for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success.  • Researches resources and methods (e.g., intervention and treatment techniques, assessment tools and methods, community resources, etc.) for the purpose of determining the appropriate approach for addressing students' needs.  • Responds to inquiries (e.g. parents, teachers, staff, students, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or referral as appropriate.
