The Tennessee Educator Acceleration Model (TEAM) is about principals and teachers working together to ensure that students benefit from the best possible instruction every day.

Through a combination of frequent observation, constructive feedback, student data and meaningful professional development, the new system is designed to support all educators so they can do their best work in the classroom and help every student learn and grow.
Who must be evaluated?

All classroom teachers, including special needs teachers, career technical teachers, and specialist area teachers such as art, PE, or music teachers, as well as Library Media Specialist, Counselors, psychologists, etc.

How often must a teacher be evaluated?
All teachers are evaluated annually.

What constitutes a complete evaluation?
· Apprentice Level Teachers: minimum of 6 classroom observations annually
· Professional Level Teachers: minimum of 4 classroom observations annually

How do we evaluate Library Media Specialists, Counselors, School Psychologists, Social Workers, etc?
These educators are evaluated under the same guidelines using rubrics that are appropriate for their specific areas of endorsement.
