TN PROMISE

The Class of 2017 TN Promise Student Application is now open! Students can apply online atwww.tnpromise.gov until November 1, 2016. If a student does not have TSAC student portal created, the student must first create the portal then complete the TN Promise application. The student will receive a confirmation email upon completion, which is one of the many reasons why it is important that the student provides a working email address on the application.

WELCOME TO EAST HICKMAN HIGH SCHOOL

Fairfield Baptist presents: Hoop it Up 3on3 Basketball Tournament. Saturday September 17th. From 10-5 pm at Fairfield Baptist Church. Team Registration Fees and Divisions: Boys/Girls ages 8-12 $30.00 per team, Student Boys/Girls ages 13-17 $30.00 per team, Men’s/Women’s 18+ $40.00 per team, Co-Ed (open age) $40.00 per team, Senior Division (ages 50+) $40.00 per team. Only 4 players per team. E-mail fairfieldbcyouth@gmail.com with your team name and division. You must pay for your team by September 10th. Late registration @ 9 am day of the event. There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, place in each division.

Any girls interested in playing girls Soccer need to see Ms. Tharpe in room 229.

Any Senior who would like to get involved in Homecoming planning is invited to meet in Mrs. Poth’s room 106 on earned Freedom Fridays during Eagle Time. We will be forming committees to work on float, skit, gym decorations, etc.

The 1st Annual Cornhole Tournament will be held August 27th from 10:00 am until finished at EHHS Softball Field behind the High School follow the signs.

Seniors may start ordering shirts in room 106 until September 7th.  Cost is $15.00. Please try to have correct change. Someone will be at the table upstairs.

Junior Class T-shirts will be on sale until Friday, September 2nd . The cost will be $12.00. See Mrs. Wilson in room 284 to order. Please have correct change if possible.

Spanish Club Members who were not at yesterday’s meeting need to come by Mr. Angell’s room to vote on T-shirts and sign up for the fair booth and Day of the Dead chalk-drawing completition. Those willing to work on Homecoming float, see Mr. Wesley.

Sophomores:Shirt orders will be taken thru September 2nd. The cost of this shirt will be $25.00. See Mr. Mathis.

Freshman shirts are on sale until September 2nd the cost is $10.00.

Advance student tickets for Friday night’s football game are available in Miss Robinson’s room. Cost is $3.00, tickets Friday night cost $6.00. Purchase your tickets before school, between classes, or during walking time. No student tickets are sold at the gate.

Any Senior who would like to be involved in the planning Senior Pep Rally decorations may come to room 106 during Eagle Time today.

Students: Youth Leadership Hickman is now recruiting for this year’s class. Students must be in the 11th or 12th grade to participate. If you are interested call UT Extension office at 729-2404 or E-mail Donna Bradley at dbradle2@utk.edu.

Any Senior boy or girl interested in running for homecoming King or Queen, and any Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman boy or girl interested in running for Homecoming attendant must complete a nomination form. Forms are available in Miss Robinson’s room. All forms are due by Monday, August 29th at 3:00.

There is a Scam that everyone should know about. Someone is contacting parents of students saying they are with ACT and need your credit card information. ACT will not contact you for credit card information. Please do not give out any information over the phone.

Congratulations to the EHHS Golf team for winning 3 out of 4 matches this week. Dalton Thomasson finished in first place at Skyview. Yesterday at the Beautiful Buffalo Course. Dalton Thomasson and Issac Braman finished tied for 1st place with a 1 over 37. Colby Shelton finished in 2nd.

Please Congratulate this year’s FCCLA officer: President-Cameron Shanes, Vice President-Chloe Adams, Secretary/Historian-Savannah Harrington, Treasurer-Joslin Galvez.

Congratulations to the EHHS Varsity Volleyball team who beat Lewis County yesterday.
