BE IN THE ZONE-Turn off Your Phone Phase 2: School-Based Program is a Teen Motor Vehicle Safety Program that encourages teenagers to take the lessons they learned in the hospital and translate it into a year long distracted driving campaign in their school with a focus on cell phone use, especially texting while driving.

Here is a list of upcoming events that Hickman Humane Society will be hosting. Any volunteer help would be most appreciated,and students can use their time with us to fulfill service hour requirements. Our members commented at our meeting this month that all of the help that we have received so far has been ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, and we can’t say enough good things about our “helpers”!

June 11 will be the Rabies vaccination clinic at East Hickman Community Center. Volunteers will be needed from 9-3. Interested volunteers can call the hotline at 1-866-304-3352 or contact Mrs. Vicki.Chessor.

Graduation practice will be Friday, May 13 at 9:00 a.m.

The EHHS talent show and the Faculty play will be today, May 11 at 1:30. Tickets purchased on today cost $5.00. Remember that seating is limited in the Auditorium. Please see Miss Robinson between classes to purchase tickets or if you have any question.

Come support your EHHS Volleyball team and celebrate the beginning of summer on May 13th at Buffalo Wild Wings. Get a ticket from Mrs. Burlison or just tell them you are from East Hickman when you eat there!

When arriving at school in the morning or leaving in the afternoon students need to be dropped off and picked up in the back of the school building.

Senior class top 10: If you have not returned your Top 10 survey to Mrs. Polk please do so by tomorrow. If you need another copy. See Mrs. Polk.

Locker sign up for the 2016-2017 school year begins today for Juniors, Wednesday for Sophomores, and Thursday for Freshman. Remember if you want to keep the same locker, you must sign up for the locker.  

Cafeteria charges must be paid A.S.A.P. These accounts need to be paid.

Boys Basketball tryouts will be held May 17 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at EHHS.

Softball try outs will be Friday from 3:30-5:30.

Congratulations to Jake Smith for placing 4th in the Shot Put at Lipscomb yesterday. He threw 42 feet and 3 inches and qualified for next week’s sectional meet. There he will compete for a chance to make the State Tournament.

Volleyball is cancelled until tryouts on Monday 16th due to graduation. However, Mr. Beem has promised that the stage will be down on Monday the 16th at 10:30 for tryouts to begin.
