TN PROMISE

The Class of 2017 TN Promise Student Application is now open! Students can apply online atwww.tnpromise.gov until November 1, 2016. If a student does not have TSAC student portal created, the student must first create the portal then complete the TN Promise application. The student will receive a confirmation email upon completion, which is one of the many reasons why it is important that the student provides a working email address on the application.

Seniors-your mandatory TN Promise meeting will be on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 5:30 pm at Hickman County High School in the Auditorium. Sign in will begin at 5:15 pm.

Please arrive no later than 5:10 pm to ensure adequate time for sign in. The meeting will last one hour. Please make arrangements now to attend the meeting. If you do not attend you will lose TN Promise. Parents are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Carr  Family Foundation Scholarship applications are due by this Friday, March 3rd. These must be done online. Please see Ms. Anglin if you have questions.

Hickman County Retired Teachers will award one Scholarship to a Senior who plans to enter the Field of education. Please complete this application and return it to Ms. Anglin by March 23.

Hickman County Historical Society Scholarship Applications are in the Guidance Office. They are due to Ms. Anglin by March 23.

Applications for the Goodlark Foundation Scholarship are available in the Guidance Office.

March 7- Balfour will deliver graduation items except cap and gown

April 25- Balfour will deliver caps and gowns.

Last day to order a cap and gown is March 10th.  Orders after that day will not be delivered on April 25

 For a graduation order, a deposit of 50% of total amount due is required. Orders may also be made online at www.BalfourTN.com. If you have any questions, please contact Balfour online, call Balfour at 615-867-6345, or call the school at 931-670-1366.

Need a Prom Dress, But can’t afford one? Let Becca’s Closet help! Becca’s Closet provides free Prom Dresses to students who cannot afford one and is located in Fairview, TN. E-mail your name, number, school, and dress size to gownsforgirls@comcast.net. You will be contacted to set up an appointment. High school identification will be required. The Organization “Love the Dress” will be hosting the 7th annual event on February 18, 8 am until 2 pm at Church of the City in Franklin. Prom Dresses are from $10.00 to $20.00. Girls can also bring a prom dress to trade in for free.

Just a friendly reminder that outside food and drinks are not allowed in the school. If you bring your lunch it must be in an appropriate lunch box or bag and stored in your locker until lunch time. If you are getting food for athletics after school it can be dropped off in the office after 3:00. If you bring in an insulated cup or thermos it must be emptied when you enter the school.

Miss Hickman County Beauty Pageants-March 17th and 18th at Hickman County High School Auditorium. 7:00 pm each night. Miss Hickman County Queen will receive a $500.00 College Scholarship. Entry forms and Information is in the front office.

The Columbia State High School competition is set for April 7th and we’re building a team of fierce competitors. A list of Categories is posted outside Coach Greer’s room. See Mr. Angell if you’d like to represent EHHS in this year’s contest.

There will be a HOSA meeting, March 2nd during Eagle Time in Mrs. Redding’s room, 136. HOSA members going to State Conference should attend the meeting. We will be discussing State Conference and the booth for 8th grade night. If you have not paid for fees for the Conference, please bring it to Mrs. Redding ASAP.

The Lady Eagles want to thank everyone who came out and supported then on Friday night  at Giles County. The Lady Eagle loss 49 to 38. The Lady Eagles finished their season with a school record of 20 wins and 12 losses. We like to thank everyone for your support during the season. Good job Lady Eagles. We are so proud of you!!!!
